Hyderabad: Much awaited counting for GHMC elections started on Friday at 8 am. Postal ballots were counted in the first one hour which shows that saffron is leading in 85 wards out of 150. BJP leaders say that it reflects the mood of the voter, but TRS is confident that it will gain in ballot counting. It is just a matter of 100s of votes, we are relying of 1000s of ballot votes which have to be counted, our cadre are ready to start celebrations by afternoon, we will win maximum seats and people have once again given the steering to us, say confident TRS leaders.
Jambhagh situation tense
There was a mild tension in Jambagh ward when BJP leaders found votes missing in Ballot box. The actual figure of votes should be 471, but for counting only 257 ballot papers were given which was objected to by the BJP leaders. ‘Where are the other votes missing?’ Questioned a BJP leader in anguish. EC commission has now come up that they have given wrong percentage of votes on poll day, its just 257 polled, and dissatisfied BJP leaders are in a step to move the court for repoll.
Mehidiptnam Result first
First result will be from Mehdipatnam as per sources. 14000 votes will be counted per round and the result for Mehdipatnam will be completed in 2 rounds. At the same time Seethaphalmandi and Mettuguda first round results will be known in an hour.
