Peddapalli Murder case: Sensational twists come to fore

• TRS leaders kunta Srinu and Putta Madhu involved, say primary sources

Peddapalli: The double murder of advocate couple in broad day light on Wednesday turns political after initial information indicated the involvement of TRS leaders and goons in the murder. Manthani bandh was called by all parties against the brutal murder of the advocate couple, Gattu Vamanarao and his wife Nagamani.

Clash between Vamana Rao and Kunta Srinu on temple issue

Kunta Srinu, was known for land grabbings and he has been threatening whoever comes in his way, as per local people. The rivalry started between Srinu and Vamana Rao on a temple issue at Gunjanapadugu village. Vamanarao, along with his wife came to collect the signature of the petitioner against the dispute of construction in Temple lands and was on the way to his residence at Bowenpally in Hyderabad. The murder took place while he was returning at 16km from Manthani.

Vamanarao, a wall to Kunta’s grabbings

Advocate Vamana Rao stood like a wall against kunta Srinu’s atrocities. The sensational murder case of Madhukar in Manthani few years back was taken up by Vamana Rao. Madhukar, a dalit, was murdered for falling in love with a girl of different caste. That murder issue went on to bandhs, and dharnas at that time, with name of Manthani ZPTC, TRS leader Putta Madhu’s registered as primary accused. Vamanarao also took up the case of a lockup death of Seelam Rangiah recently. Rangiah, also a dalit, died in police custody at Manthani PS. After that Vamana Rao received threatening calls from unknown persons to withdraw cases in court against police custodial death and Madhukar’s death. Gattu Vamana Rao filed a PIL against Putta Madhu with allegation of amassing wealth through corrupt means and also sought CBI enquiry in that case.
