New Delhi: As country got ready for extensive nationwide drive in corona vaccination, PM Modi got injected Bharat Bio tech’s COVAXIN as first dose of vaccine at AIIMS today. PM took the first dose and came on twitter which reads as follows” Took my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at AIIMS. Remarkable how our doctors and scientists have worked in quick time to strengthen the global fight against COVID-19. I appeal to all those who are eligible to take the vaccine. Together let us make India COVID-19 free!”
The second phase of COVID vaccination programme will cover people of age 60 and those who are 45 with co-morbidities.

How to Register?
Citizens can register and book an appointment for vaccination through Co-Win2.0 portal which will open at 9 am on Monday. They can also book through Arogyasethu app. Eligible persons can register at the Co-Win portal using their mobile number in a step by step manner. They can walk through into identified vaccination centres and get inoculated. With the help of one mobile number, beneficiaries can be registered up to 4 as per the Ministry sources.
List of documents to be carried
After you got registered either through online or through mobilisation, beneficiaries should carry the following documents for verification at the time of vaccination.
1) Adhaar card
2) Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC)
3) Photo ID Card specified at the time of registration in case of online registration
4) Certificate of Co-morbidities for citizens in age group 45 to 59 years
5) Employment certificate/Official identity Card ( either but with Photo) for HCWs and FLWs.
Second Phase vaccination, Things you should know
This will involve 10,000 government medical facilities and 20,000 private hospitals for vaccine administration. In Phase 1 ,1.4 cr people were administered with vaccine dose and Govt. is trying to go for maximum vaccination in second phase after witnessing surge in cases , particularly in five states – Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Punjab.

Private centres will collect 250rs per dose, 150 rs for the shot and 100rs as operational charges, but it is free at all government hospitals listed by Centre. Government once again clarified that vaccination centre will have one type of vaccine throughout the drive to avoid mixing of vaccine types in 1st and 2nd dose of beneficiary.
