Hyderabad: Municipal Administration and IT Minister K. Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) has been receiving huge applaud from citizens of Telangana for his gesture and speedy help in need to Covid patients. It is true that KTR’s twitter is flooded with thousands of request from morning to evening for help by Covid patients or by their relatives and the minister is responding to them positively with patience.
KT Rama Rao, became active minister on Twitter. After recovering from Covid-19 recently, the minister took charge of a State Task Force constituted to ensure timely supply of drugs and vaccines.
After Task force headed by KTR was formed to address the pandemic, the minister took up different routes to reach public, like Twitter in the name of ‘ASK KTR’ or ‘dial up number 100’ to control black marketing. All these are yielding positive results and giving a big sigh of relief to patients who are tense for various reasons. One patient Wasi Rahman requested for Remidisiver injections, which were sent immediately by KTR team, another patient Shiv Shankar tweeted for Oxygen concentrators which was arranged within 24hrs. Twitter is making clocks with Remdisiver injections, Oxygen concentrators, hospital beds, blood platelets, ventilators, Black fungus ( Mucomycosis) and financial assistance as well. The requests are not only restricted to Telangana, they are from Andhra and Karnataka too.
The minister came up with e-mail id for patients who are seeking medicines for black fungus. They are [email protected] and [email protected] and via twitter @DMETELANGANA with a copy to @KTR office for follow up.
Focus on Vaccines also
KTR is focusing on vaccines also parallel to the help for patients. He held meeting with representatives of various pharma companies like Natco Pharma, Biological E Ltd, Bharath Biotech, Serum Institute of India, Virchow Bio tech, Zydus Cadila, Hetero drugs, Galnd Pharma, Indian immunological and Reddy labs.
“Having this level of compassion and governance is remarkable. Appreciate you and your team for all the help for the needy in these pandemic situations”, is the tweet by Chandrasekhar Rao Ravulapalli after he received an emergency medicine from KTR team. Right now, KTR became a ray of hope for COVID patients who are in need with Netizens saying ‘JAI KTR’. But don’t forget that KTR is not at all enamoured of these kudos and he kept himself busy on Twitter with Shashi Tharoor with jocundity.
