Has he fled to Cuba?
There are rumours that Choksi might have fled to Cuba fearing extradition to India as per his aide Gavin, which has to be confirmed by government officials. The reason for fleeing to Cuba could be that India does not have extradition treaty with it. The Island’s Prime Minister Gaston Browne had a word with Indian prime Minister Narendra Modi about pursuing Choksi‘s extradition to India. This might be the reason he has fled to Cuba, says sources.
Choski is facing charges of criminal conspiracy, criminal breach of trust, cheating and dishonesty, corruption and money laundering.
