Dr. Neeli Ramchander who received the President’s Medal for his services to the Indian Red Cross Society.

NIZAMABAD: Indian Red Cross Society district chairman Dr. Neeli Ramachander, who was selected for the national level President’s Gold Medal for the year 2017-18 for his one and a half decade long services to the society, received the medal from the Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Harshavardhan in a virtual conference held at National Information Centre at Pragathi Bhavan, on Thursday.
Dr. Harshavardhan conferred the medal on him under the instructions of the President of India Ramnath Kovind. With this the IRCS district unit secured national level awards for the third time consecutively. Earlier, the IRCS State managing committee member Tota Rajasekhar and senior member A. Pochaiah received the awards. On the occasion, under the leadership of the society district secretary Bussa Anjaneyulu, all the three awardees were honoured in a grand manner.
The IRCS district unit treasurer Karipe Ravinder, vice – chairman Mothe Rajeswar Reddy, society district coordinator A. Ravinder, EC members Wahab Bari, Nayini Krishna, Aswak Ahmed and Vangala Narsimham were among those who were present.
Responding to the felicitation Dr. Ramchander said that the district unit could get the President’s Medal only because of the combined efforts and contribution of all the members. Besides, the successive district Collectors cooperated well at all steps for this achievement and honour, he said.
