A young farmer wrote a letter to IT and Municipal Administration Minister K Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) seeking permission to commit suicide. He also sent a letter to Nalgonda District Collector Prashant j Patil on twitter.
Chappari Srinu, 25, of Kanagal village stated that none of the ruling party leaders or government officials had responded to his letter. The letter was sent on January 19. He is an engineering graduate living on cultivation. But he was evicted from the field by officials saying that the land belongs to government. He said the land in question was purchased by his ancestors in 2010 after selling away their old land when Srisailam Left Banks were taken up. However, the officials said the land was already acquired by government for project. But the revenue department had issued Srinu a patta for the land and he was also given a digital pass book. He said after selling old lands his family had purchased land in the same G.Yedavalli village in Survey Number 354. Srinu’s mother says the land was taken away by officials to set up Palle Prakruti Vanam.
