Amaravati: YCP MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju who was arrested on Friday evening was moved to Guntur CID office in late evening and was interrogated by CID Additional DGP. During Interrogation, MP was questioned reasons for his comments on social media against the Government. What are the reasons for your posts and comments on social media against the Government and what made you to do it, what are your intentions and who are behind these, are the questions faced by MP during interrogation. Raghurama replied that no one is involved along with him and what is wrong in pointing out the mistakes done by Government. “Why did you arrest me illegally? What are the cases filed against me?” the MP questioned CID officials. Medical tests were conducted on the MP at CID office on Saturday morning and he was doing fine as per reports.

Don’t produce before magistrate: High Court
Advocates of the MP filed house motion petition in High Court on Friday late night. Case will come up before the bench at 1 pm on Saturday. But court directed CID officials not to produce MP Ragurama in front of magistrate until further orders were delivered by High Court. On the request of advocates of Raghurama CID officials arranged medicines and food for MP Krishnam Raju.

MP has been suspecting arrest for long time
Raghurama Krishnam Raju said to be rebel MP from YCP is expecting his arrest on or before 16th May. He himself released a statement a few days ago that his arrest looks to be eminent by CID officers before 15th may. The MP in the name of “Rajadhani Rachhabanda” platform has been criticising ruling party through media on several issues like Amravati as capital, on schemes and even on the way Government is treating Corona patients. He recently requested Central Government for security after allegedly receiving threatening calls from the ruling party leaders. Centre provided ‘Y’ security to the MP. Raghurama also filed a PIL in CBI court seeking cancellation of bail for AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy. The court posted the matter for further hearing on May 17th. On Friday, Raghurama Raju also filed public interest litigation questioning the Government decision to handover AP Dairy assets to Amul.

Meanwhile, opposition parties condemned the manner of the MP’s arrest in Hyderabad at his residence.
