The details were divulged by DGP Gautham Sawang on Friday. According to him, 17 members belonging to the TDP and 4 of the BJP were booked under relevant sections of the Information Technology Act and sections 120B of the IPC (criminal conspiracy).
SIT also came up with nine cases of temple attacks in which leaders and political parties were involved in provoking false information to create tense situation in the State by disturbing communal harmony. 15 were arrested so far in various parts of the state and six are still absconding according to DGP’s statement. If any person or persons tried to create unrest by hurting religious sentiments on social media, severe action will be taken and no one will be spared, asserted DGP Sawang.
One Nagi Reddy, a TDP sympathiser of Badvelu, Kadapa district, gave land to YCP government for distribution of house sites to poor, but to acquire land back, his son Subba Reddy, garlanded slippers to Hanuman idol in Kondalaveedu village. His plan was to create unrest and somehow snatch his father’s land back once again.
