BHAKTI-LOVE AMBROSIA Part II

“No rites, no rituals, no sacrifice…
no suppressing of senses, no penance;
no continence with lust for paradise
and no garroting ascetic pretence.”

“It’s you who gave this life and limbs and your
Empress Maya bestowed mundane senses.
These lovely bodies store your bliss at core
and dress the soul untill it’s last egress.”

BHAKTI-LOVE AMBROSIA Part II

“How can refuse we, such a gorgeous
largess from you? To make this piece of art
how much you must have strained your spirit pious
and poured your heart in crafting every part.”

Looking athwart he beamed his magical smiles.
“Unravelled you my mystic mystery…
you mischievous girls. Your love is pure sans wiles.
Your impish zests, have set your spirits free.

I saved this arcanum for com’ng epoch…
Kali Yuga, when people will be born
with frail bodies and mind, who trust in luck
than good efforts and to ignorance sworn.

They neither can perform the Vedic rites
to make their social lives happy, nor can
acquirejnana-wisdom, apply it right
and find the source of soul. Well, this’s for then.

They’re short in stature, short in memory
and short of virtues too. They’re proud but meek
and squander health and wealth in carnal spree.
Their souls seek me, but efforts remain weak.

I named it as Bhakti; a form of pure
and ideal love. Your heart it’s chariot,
my million names the passage, faith, the spoor,
senses, the steed and mind the lariat.

The cowgirls stopped giggling and squatted calm
around Krishna, with palms supporting chins
and eyes wide open, quitting all their qualms.
The Master continued with mystic grins.
