BHAKTI-LOVE AMBROSIA Part XVI

“Don’t sashay you with pomp and vanity,
with eyes held high, surveying earthly lie.
Tread gently you with sweet humility
with vision veered towards the inner sky.”

“Remember dames, I’m your best friend, playmate
and relative. I’m your mentor, lover
your life, your faith and your ultimate fate.
I love you too and neve’r from you sever.”

“With me you talk, discuss, debate and tell
your joyful and woeful tales. I listen to all
O dames and be a part of your chandelle
in life’s trekking and never let you to fall.”

“Perform your rites and strive for what you need
to lead the worldly life, but lo give them
to me as offerings-your love and greed,
envy and ire as well to holy helm.”

“This life full of Karma you can’t evade.
It’s both a clean and slippery alley
O dames, but leads to one grand promenade,
that’s me and too, the sacred finale.”

With time you need no more of Karmic chores
to deter prying thoughts in worldly moors
and oil your rusted mind with sacred lore.
With Bhakti you eschew such long detours.

When you attain that state O maidens sweet,
the slender line between the seeker, Sought
and path melts down when you become the beat
of cosmic spirit and puissant aught in aught.

The soul is like a castle invisible
behind the ego brume. When spread the rays
of wisdom dawn, shatters the foggy hull
unveiling that towering infinite blaze.

This birth you now endure, with joy and pain;
this curvy form and sheen of skin you preen
about; are yarned out of a silky skein
of Karmic threads of previous births umpteen.

One has to eat the sour and sweet berries
they reaped through karmas past. This canon guides
a rudder like, from behind and ferries
the life vessels through turbulent time-tides.

You taste these Karmic fruits with sense terrene
and when the plate is clean, you’re like an ace
gourmet ready to taste a new cuisine;
this time with soul, from urns of holy grace.
