AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi challenged the BJP to field Narendra Modi in the campaign for Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections. He said BJP leaders coming from Delhi and other places in the country would not make any difference. They are coming to Hyderabad to create communal trouble, he alleged.
“You bring Narendra Modi to the old city and make him campaign here. We will see what happens. Organise his meeting here and we will see how many seats you will win,” Asad challenged at an election meeting.

Smriti, Tejasvi conduct high voltage campaign
The BJP has already brought many leaders from outside. Many more are in line. Tejasvi Surya, MP from South Bengaluru and Smrit Irani, Union minister who defeated Rahul Gandhi in Amethi, had conducted a high voltage campaign in the city. They spoke about Rohingyas, Pakistanis and other infiltrators living in old city. Bandi Sanjay, the TBJP president, roared that his party would win the elections and their Mayor would conduct surgical strikes on old city to get rid of the infiltrators. Asad challenged the BJP to conduct surgical strikes against China if it can. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be here on the 28th. Amit Shah, Union Home Minister, is expected to address a big election meeting on the 29th.

What PM and HM doing if there are infiltrators?
“These are municipal elections. They will not talk about development. Hyderabad has become a developed city, many MNCs have been set up here, but the BJP wants to destroy it by bringing bad name to the city,” alleged the MIM chief. He said if there are Rohingyas and Pakistanis in the old city it is the failure of Union Home Minister and the Prime Minister of India.

BJP-MIM war of words
The Congress has been conducting a peaceful campaign while the BJP has been in an aggressive mode. The MIM has been replying to every issue raised by the BJP. Asad and his younger brother Akbaruddin were at their rhetoric best in attacking the BJP while indulging in mild criticism of the ruling TRS which is tactfully done. TRS campaigner-in-chief K. Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) has been flaying both the BJP and the MIM for their communal politics. He has been asking the people to vote for the TRS for a peaceful and happy Hyderabad.
