Hyderabad: For the first time in its history, ruling party, the TRS, is looking for a candidate to field in Huzurabad bypoll. Eatala, who is well known to voters for about twenty years on Gulabi flag resigned from TRS leaving the ruling party in dilemma to search for a tough candidate to field. The TRS sources say it is a mind game by their supreme leader of not leaking or announcing any name until the last minute, but it is clear that ruling party could not find a suitable candidate so far to face Eatala in the constituency. Names like Golla Srinivas Yadav, Kaushik Reddy were in rumours for a few days, but Gulabi boss could not come to a conclusion as the party took the battle as prestigeos which is considered a semi final before assembly elections. BC or Reddy community, to opt for, is the biggest challenge confronting Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR). The ruling party has been offering sops like Dalit Bandhu, development promises, and construction of function halls are going on in Huzurabad constituency at brisk pace to capture the BC vote bank. All are good, but for a party, which used to witness competition for the ticket among the aspirants, is left in a position to search for a candidate to field.

Congress party came to life after high command announced Revanth Reddy as TPCC Chief. He knows very well that bypoll will be a litmus test for him personally. The sudden exit of Kaushik Reddy gave a jolt to party in the constituency. Revanth and senior Congress leaders like Damodar Raja Narasimha and AICC in charge Manickham Tagore had requested former MP Ponnam Prabhakar to contest, but he declined smoothly. Senior leader like Komatireddy Venkat Reddy challenged Revanth to try for at least to save the party candidate’s deposit adding another worrying factor for new TPCC Chief.

BJP along with its candidate, Eatala Rajender, started campaign well in advance in the name of paadayatra in the constituency. Eatala is well known to voters of Huzurabad and he has being receiving good response from the people. BJP has nothing to do in the race, except following Rajender’s guidance. Leaders like Vivek and Raghunandan are moving along with Rajender in the paadayatra. TBJP President Bandi Sanjay will start paadayatra on August 9th, the date, Eatala completes his paadayatra.

The final war will be between BJP and TRS, but both TRS and Congress are on the back foot for now, still in search of candidates.
