Hyderabad: Politics in Telangana state assembly is changing rapidly for a few months. The resignation of Eatala Rajender from the TRS, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s upcoming tour in districts, silence of IT Minister K. Taraka Rama Rao, Finance Minister Harish Rao continuing to be in limelight with active participation in administration for a few weeks after Eatala episode, all hints suggest that something is cooking in TRS and state politics.

After Rajender was sacked from the Cabinet and forced out of the TRS, there has been propaganda that another minister Guntakandla Jagadish Reddy will be facing the same fate very soon. The story was aired even in pro-TRS media until the other day. This matter turned into a topic of serious discussion in political circles after MP Revanth Reddy came on twitter saying “ Hampi Dhoom dham in suspense, covert revolution crack by Kranthi, did Yamudu ring the bell for Jagdishwar Reddy?” The story related to Hampi’s party in connection with birthday of Jagadish’s son appeared in Deccan Chronicle.

What happened at Hampi?
In January, 2021, Jagdishwar Reddy hosted his son’s birthday bash in a resort at Hampi, Karnataka, which was graced by 4 TRS MLAs and a few VIPs. A video went on viral which shows that Jagdish and the MLAs expressed anguish at CM’s rule giving priority to his family members, the way he handled party and mishandled Eatala Rajender issue. The video shows that if KTR was made chief minister, Eatala will float a new political party. Jagdish did not interrupt them while they were criticizing KCR and his son KTR. TRS MLA who is known for revolutionary songs and before entering Assembly in 2014 sang a song depicting the situation in the party and what would happen if KTR is made CM. The total episode was videotaped by a journalist-tuned-MLA considered close to KCR and sent to Pragathi Bhavan. Jagadish remaining a mute spectator without vehemently condemning the MLAs for their innuendos had reportedly upset KCR. Since then Jagadish has been on KCR’s radar. Due to Sagar bypoll KCR had kept his cool and now he might strike as he did in case of Etala, according to the story published in DC.

Congress MP came out with names of MLAs on twitter which was not published in news paper. According to his tweet, the MLAs included Rasamayi Balakishan, ballard-turned-MLA, Kranthi, the journalist-cum-politician who sent the video clipping to the CM.

Jagdish condemns allegations
Jagadish Reddy said that some people are dreaming that same thing will happen to me on the lines of Eatala Rajender. It will remain their dream only and as far as the birthday party concerned, it was true they had a get together but all the other content is only script by rivals. Rajender boarded a sinking boat and people are opposing BJP. Eatala was comfortable in the TRS and he did not even make the effort to meet the CM to sort out the differences.

Cabinet reshuffle soon
Party sources say there will be cabinet reshuffle soon and Jagadish Reddy might be dropped and he may be replaced by MLC Palla Rajeswar Reddy who is a confidante of the CM. One has to wait and see how CM will react on the issue and how he will balance cadre and leaders in Nalgonda district.
