Kolkata: Exactly a day after BJP leader Dilip Ghosh alleged security lapse in Nadda’s tour of West Bengal on day one, today stones were hurled and attack on convoys witnessed in Bengal, which turned tense. Vehicles of both Nadda and Vijayvargiya’s were damaged who were on the way to Diamond Harbour to meet party workers for upcoming Bengal elections.
Protestors who gathered on the streets attempted to block the road and tried to stop Nadda’s convoy from passing. Nadda was on his way to South 24 paraganas to meet BJP workers as a part of strengthening cadre for assembly elections, 2021. Police managed to escort vehicles out of the area.

Ghosh yesterday wrote a letter to union Minister of Home, Amit Shah, citing the security lapses in Bengal during Nadda’s tour that is on Z category covered by CRPF. He also hinted about possibility of attack by TMC workers during the tour, particularly today on the way to diamond harbour. Ghosh said that State police are non committed and not serious about this which is a worrying factor about the safety of their leaders.
TMC Condemns statement of their party involvement: Madam Mitra, TMC leader condemned the statement by BJP that their party involvement in attack. He said that it was a revolt by local people. BJP is bringing outsiders into state and not informing to state Government while doing so, TMC Minister Firhad hakim said.
