Innovative farmer made as Bhadradri RB co-oridnator

The appointment of Rao Jogeswara Rao as Bhadradri-Kothagudem district coordinator of Rythu Bandhu Samithi is not at all a surprise. Jogeswara Rao, who is master of changing horticultural crop pattern in Dammapet mandal in Bhadradri district, is the best option to the post and it is a good news. The government noticed the importance of palm oil recently. Jogeswara Rao had felled his coconut trees and raised palm oil 20 years back. He took up his family farming after completion of engineering graduation. He raised majority of horticulture crops including coco, guava, watermelon, pine apple and coconut. He is considered a specialist in raising hybrid cashew in his fields. Even in politics, he took up the legacy of his father. He succeeded in getting his nominee elected as sarpanch of Mustibanda gram panchayat in Dammapet mandal. Former minister Tummala Nageswara Rao ignored him and set aside his recommendation to the Mustibanda MPTC election. Then, he fielded his mother and made her as MPTC. He was elected as chairman of Dammapet Primary Agriculturale Cooperative Society (PACS) against Tummala’s wish.

Kokulakuntla Ravi, a farmer from Mustibanda, said “Many of the farmers in Dammapet mandal have changed their horticulture crop pattern after noticing the practices of Rao Jogeswara Rao. He is a youth icon in the mandal and his appointment as Rythu Bandu district coordinator is definitely very useful to the farmers of the district.”
