• No change in leadership, CM says
• Speed up membership drive
• Don’t react to BJP leaders comments
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao cleared the air on speculations about change in leadership. KCR said that he will be CM for another 10 years. He was addressing TRS party’s executive meeting on Sunday.
I am Healthy and fit
CM said that he is healthy and fit and can rule for another 10 years without any doubt. ‘I said the same word in Assembly and repeating the same here, don’t make or create any speculations on change over,’ KCR said. There were speculations in TRS circles that KTR will be made CM and CM will hint about that in the executive meeting in which MPs, MLAs, and TRS party functionaries participated.
Warns TRS leaders
KCR strictly warned TRS MLAs and leaders who have been making speculative statements about making KTR CM of Telangana. ‘If anyone repeats the same, I will take serious action,’ KCR said harshly. ‘Do you expect me to resign? Why Should I when I am healthy and I can rule Telangana for another 10 years? CM post is like a chappal on leg foot for me, I am not at all interested for that post, but to save Telangana and to develop it, I accepted the post after TRS won elections in 2014, post bifurcation, KCR further added.

On BJP’s Surge
KCR also responded on surge of BJP in Telangana. He said the victory for BJP in Dubbaka and better performance in GHMC elections is just a bit of luck. Don’t get depressed or think so much about the surge of Saffron party. We will show our strength in Nagarajunasagar by poll. Don’t comment on BJP party or on their leaders, this will help them and cause harm to TRS. Be silent and patient, said KCR. He also condemned the rumours that he was compromised with PM Narenndra Modi. ‘Its rubbish, don’t believe it and will fight against BJP,’ CM further said addressing executive meeting.
Focus on Enrolment
CM directed TRS leaders to focus on the membership drive and strengthen the party. Target of 50,000 members into the party is the target given to each MLA from his constituency. If we increase membership, no one can beat TRS in Telangana for another two terms. Leave all gossips and recent results and try to come up with memberships. I will tour each and every district from now on, CM said, keeping an end to all speculations about KTR becoming CM.

If I go to Delhi….
CM said that change of leadership, if any, he will tell party leaders first and then go to Delhi for final decision and confirmation. Until then don’t make any statements on KTR becoming CM. Recently there were statements from ministers and MLAs that KTR will be second chief minister of Telangana and KCR will announce the matter shortly. Minister Etela Rajender, Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy, minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav are front runners to make such statements. CM had a detailed talk with them after the executive meet to know the exact reasons for their statements, as per TRS sources.
