- TRS will support ongoing movement
- If needed, we will join agitation at Vizag
- Both Telugu states should go to the rescue of each other
Hderabad: Vizag Steel plant agitation received support from unexpected quarters. Telangana State IT and Municipal Administration Minister K.Taraka Rama Rao extended his support to the protesters against privatisation of the Steel Plant. This is surely a morale booster for the agitation.
KTR lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that Central Government may sell BHEL tomorrow and Singareni collieries the day after. We expect the same support from AP too whenever in needed it. We will visit Vizag and take part in anti agitation against privatisation directly with the permission of CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao, he added.

We should not keep silent now by thinking that AP will lose and Telangana has nothing to lose, tomorrow Modi may try to privatise public sector companies in Hyderabad, it is the responsibility of Telugu States to fight jointly against the centre, KTR added.
KTR mocked at the NDA led Government saying that the promise of setting a steel plant at Bayyaram through SAIL was not kept. On the other hand, agitations in Vizag reached high with all parties demanding centre to withdraw the decision of privatisation. AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy wrote second letter to PM Modi seeking his appointment to explain various ways to bring VSP into profits without privatisation. But Centre is keen on privatising Steel plant in coming days, we have to see how this can be stopped.
