Patna: Tejashwi Yadav, the last child of former chief ministers of Bihar, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabdi Devi, got married to Rachel Godinho on Thursday at a function with a limited guests not exceeding 50. Jejashwi is the ninth of the siblings who remained unmarried. With this two sons and seven daughters of Lalu Prasad have been married. The news of the wedding was revealed by Tejashwi’s sister Rohini Acharya. Photos of the wedding were tweeted by her.
Samajwadi Party leader and former chief minister of UP, Akhilesh Yadav was one of the guests. He was seen seated between Lalu and his elder son Tej Pratap Yadav. Tejashwi, 32, is the opposition leader of Bihar. He led the RJD –led opposition front in the last assembly elections and lost to Nitish Kumar-led NDA comprising JDU and BJP. Lalu Prasas was in jail at the time of elections.
Though the wedding was a low-key affair, the supporters of Lalu family throughout Bihar have celebrated the occasion by distributing sweets. Tejashwi wanted to have a small gathering at the wedding in view of Omicron scare.
