- Plots without LRS eligible for registration
- New plots, layouts need government approval
- Relief for realtors, general public
Hyderabad: Telanagana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao takes yet another U-turn. this time on LRS scheme. Today he said that plots without LRS can be considered for registration. However, he said that new plots and layouts should get an approval from government and until then registrations for such plots will be on hold.
KCR’s U-turn on LRS is expected for a few days as there is a major revolt from public and dharnas were organised by realtors in front of Sub-registrars’ offices across Telangana. Political parties such as the Congress and BJP are fighting against TRS government demanding to lift LRS scheme.

LRS is one of the major reasons for the defeat of TRS in GHMC elections. After getting feedback on this and keeping in view of upcoming Warangal, Khammam corporation elections and Nagarjuna Sagar assembly by-poll, KCR may have opted for this, felt political analysts.
Whatever the reason may be, it is a big relief for realtors and the people whose registrations have been on the hold for the past three months putting both the sellers and buyers in difficulties.
