Hyderabad: Y.S. Sharmila, daughter of late YSR, said that she will be launching walkathon (paadayaatra) from October 20 in Telangana. This paadayaatra titled “Praja Prasthanam” will cover 91 assembly segments excluding GHMC limits. Paadayatra will start from Chevella, which was a sentiment for YSR, and will continue for a year and will conclude at the same place. During paadayaatra, Sharmila will try to understand the problems of the people and find solutions as per party sources.

Sharmila harsh on KCR
Sharmila alleged that during KCR’s rule, attacks on Dalits have increased and liquor sales increased drastically by 300% and as a result attacks on women became common. Both BJP and Congress are sold out to TRS and during Praja Prasthanam, this issue will be highlighted, Sharmila said in après release note.

Farmers are not at all happy with TRS rule and 7000 farmers had committed suicide in the past seven years of KCR’s rule. Loan waiver was limited only for 3000 farmers and 30 lakh farmers have been betrayed. Same attitude will continue on unemployment and will be fasting on Tuesdays during the paadayaatra too until the issue is solved, founder of YSRTP, Sharmila said.

Rajanna Rajyam, main agenda
“Yes, to bring back Rajanna rajyam in Telangana is my main agenda. Rajanna Rajyam, YSR’s rule from 2004-09, witnessed revolutionary schemes for welfare of poor people and weaker sections of society which benefitted them. This is lacking in TRS rule, I will fight for it and bring back Rajanna rajyam, Sharmila said with confidence. This paadayatra is aimed mainly at propragating the ideals of great leader, YSR, Sharmila, sister of AP CM Jagana Mohan Reddy, said.

BJP chief of Telangana unit is already doing paadayaatra and the Congress chief also plans to launch one. The coming year is going to be the year of paadayaatras in Telangana.
