Bengaluru: Tesla, the most valuable electronic manufacturer of cars, is set to launch its R&D unit in Bangalore, India. Tesla registered under companies act as Tesla India Motors and Energy Private Ltd in Bangalore had announced three directors for the firm. David Jon Feinstein, who is right now Global Senior Director for Tesla, Vaibhav Taneja, chief accounting officer at Tesla and the third director is Venkatrangam Sreeram, associated with Xenon Automotive India Private Ltd.
The starting price of Tesla will be at $74,739(5.5 million Indian rupees), cheapest among Tesla Vehicles. Tesla is also in talks with Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Maharastra and Tamil Nadu for local partnerships. Karnataka Government has proposed Thumkur as the location for setting up manufacturing facility.
