- It’s for welfare of people
- Egos should be shelved
- Will cooperate if ideologies are similar
Chennai: MNM chief, actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan came forward with a statement about the possible alliance with film star Rajinikanth in the upcoming assembly elections, 2021. Addressing media, Kamal said both of them will cooperate for the welfare of people of Tamil Nadu and are ready to shed their ego for that. But MNM chief hinted that it is possible only when ideologies of both parties match. We are just a phone call away, Kamal further said.
The news about the formation of third front was given by the Prime Post a few days ago. Now the scenario is getting cleared after Kamal hinted at the alliance. MNM has failed to attract voters in 2019 Lok Sabha polls and he knew well about his party needed some powerful ally to come into power.
Kamal is trying for an alliance with Rajini from the day one. Both had different perceptions on acts like CAA where Rajini supported and Kamal differed with it. Rajini has soft corner on PM Modi, but Kamal straight away launched attack on NDA’s rule recently criticising new farm laws and opposed the construction of new Parliament building. He came on twitter which reads” When India is starving due to Covid pandemic which triggered loss of livelihoods, for whom is this new Parliament building being constructed at a cost of 1000 crore?”. We have to see how they both who hold divergent views come together on a common platform..
Rajinikanth fans are not ready to accept Kamal Haasan’s proposal as per sources. They want to see their hero alone on a single platform without any ally. On the other hand, AIMIM is keen on joining hands with Kamal’s MNM.
