West Bengal fight: Shah’s road show attracts huge crowd

  • Never saw such a road show in my life
  • Bengal people want change
  • Will make ‘Sonar Bangla’ in 5 years if given a chance, says Shah

Kolkata: Bolpur roads were filled with BJP cadre and supporters for the road show of Union Home Minister Amit Shah who expressed happiness by saying ‘never witnessed such a road show in life’. Amit Shah  after visiting ‘Visva Bharati University’ addressed mammoth gathering in road show who promised will make ‘Sonar Bangla’ in five years if given chance in 2021.

Crowd gathered here showed love on Modi and anger against DIDI. Bengal people are ready for ‘Poriborton (change) and Lotus will bloom in Bengal, Amit Shah said amid cheers and slogans of ‘Jai Shriram and Bharat Maataki jai’ from crowd. He came on Mamata fiercely with his critics and said its change to stop filtration, to stop political violence, but not reason to change Chief Minister but tolabazi bandh karne ke liye (to revolt against toll tax), Amit Shah further said.

Shah who is on two day tour to West Bengal had lunch at the residence of a ‘Baul’ (folk music of Bengal), he did the same on Saturday at the house of farmer in Medinipur district. This is all to strengthen relations with common people for upcoming assembly polls which are due in April-May 2021.

Shah’s visit witnessed a big blow for Mamata when seven MLAs deserted her and joined BJP. Mamata Banerjee’s trusted aide, Suvendu’s exit can be said to be a big jolt for TMC.

CPI, CPM and congress MLAs also joined BJP in presence of Shah. Mamata called them as defectors as ‘traitors’ but “Mamata formed Trinamnool after her break with the Congress, so should we call her traitor?” Amit Shah questioned.
